First Glorious Church Of Love

God is Spirit and the very thought of Love. Jesus Christ, the Logos, is the expression of God’s love for us: manifested by the working of the Holy Spirit, born of a woman in the likeness of men for the identification and communication with humankind. We are the extension of the essence of unconditional love, created in the image and likeness of God in Christ Jesus. Love in me, I in love, centered in Christ we are a redeemed body through the life, death and resurrection of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Nothing real can be threatening. Nothing unreal exists. Herein lays within us God’s peace. For love is real – an eternal creation and nothing can destroy it!

…is to demonstrate and practice the love of God by assisting all of God’s creation as exemplified by our Savior Jesus the Christ as He taught us in Matthew. …for I was hungry and you gave Me food I was thirsty and you gave Me drink I was a stranger and you took Me in I was naked and you clothed Me I was sick and you visited Me I was in prison and you came to Me.’ “Then the righteous will answer Him, saying, ‘Lord, when did we see You hungry and feed You, or thirsty and give You drink? When did we see You a stranger and take You in, or naked and clothe You? Or when did we see You sick, or in prison, and come to You?’ And the King will answer and say to them, ‘Assuredly, I say to you, inasmuch as you did it to one of the least of these My brethren, you did it to Me.’ Matthew 25:35-40 Our desire in the Lord is to foster a willing consciousness of individual responsibility of caring for our neighbors as ourselves. We believe all humanity, regardless of race, national origin, age, economic status, stage in recovery, physical ability, sexual orientation and/or gender identity, has a divine birthright to sit at the table that the Lord has prepared.

We are here to serve as beacons of the Light of Grace, to exemplify positive thinking, well-being and wholeness and to welcome the Holy Spirit in love. We are here to transform lives through improving thought: from negative thinking to a positive outlook on life. We are here to witness and rejoice in the process, advancement and achievement of others. Grace is the fulfillment of God’s law. Grace is concerned about and deals with thoughts and motives as well as our overt actions deeds that are open and observable abrogate certain concessions made formally because of the hardness of the heart of humankind. Matthew 5: 3 -12 We conceive therefore of a beatific character and attitude described by our Lord, Savior and Redeemer Jesus Christ, the Only Begotten of the Father, full of grace and truth (John 1: 14).

…was the late Reverend Elder Adrienne R. Blount, who upon being ordained at the young age of 16, began a work for the Kingdom that would span for over 50 years. Elder Blount as she was affectionately called, was led to start a ministry free of "religiosity" a place wherein all of God's people could be treated with the respect, dignity and care they all deserve. The ministry began in 2007 and celebrated its 16th anniversary November 2023, shortly before God called Elder Blount home to her well-deserved rest on December 6, 2023.

Pastor Anita Porter was installed as Pastor in 2011 and has faithfully serves as the church's lead teacher. Pastor Porter was ordained as a Minister of the Gospel in 2000 under the leadership of the late Bishop S.F. Makalani-Mahee, Fellowship Tabernacle I.F.O.I.C. Pastor walked loyally and faithfully with Elder Blount in embracing the vision God gave to her of a church where people could be truly themselves and love themselves through and by the precious blood of Jesus the Christ and through the power of the Holy Spirit.
